Bookfan is Mary's straightforward appreciation of the books she's read, as well as the occasional giveaway, and participation in a couple of memes like the aforementioned Mailbox Monday and Weekend Cooking. Books are the focus, and although Mary does like to read crime fiction, her reading is a bit more eclectic than mine-- which helps me keep up with all those other books out there.
If you're visiting from Mary's blog, welcome! Mary's just about to begin her tour, so I'd better tell you that, if you'd like to see any of the following photos in a larger size, all you have to do is click on it. Mary's ready, so let's get started!
Mary's early morning blogging spot |
Here's my early morning spot. This is the time of day I get uninterrupted reading and my first cup of coffee. It's also where I blog on the laptop.
Not much reading gets done when Gracie's in the house! |
That's granddaughter Gracelyn's rocker on the coffee table. She visits a couple of times each week. Not much reading gets done then but it's a great trade-off!
Gracelyn is ready for her close-up, Mr. DeMille! |
Couldn't mention Gracie without a close-up! ;-)
Of course you couldn't, and I for one am glad you indulged us. She is most definitely a charmer!
I also love your blogging spot, Mary. Plenty of sunlight, wood, leather, a fireplace... it looks comfortable and inviting, whether reading, blogging, or sitting on the couch talking about the latest book you've enjoyed.
Thank you so much for letting us have this glimpse into your creative spaces, Mary. We really appreciate it!
Don't forget to stop by next Wednesday when I'll be featuring another book blogger from our worldwide community!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comments, everyone. Gracie is with me today. She's now 4 months old and so much fun to be with. I'm lucky that she can spend a couple of days each week with me while her parents work.
ReplyDeleteCathy, you mentioned that I read crime fiction - just want to clarify that my CF reading goes only so far as cozy mysteries, LOL.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mary while I was on book tour and I visit her blog regularly. It's such fun to see how and where she starts her day.
