Let's see where Beth works and blogs, shall we? (Click on the photos to view them full size.)
This photo shows my desk cleaner than it's been in ages. Usually it's completely covered in papers and sticky notes of different colors and sizes.
This shows a bit more of my office. I made the desk myself out of birch-faced plywood. It has served me well for over thirty years. The multiple pairs of glasses are all in different strengths for different tasks. Notice the TweetDeck indicator in the upper corner of my computer screen.
I had to close the blinds to take the other photos, but here is the winter view out of the window behind my desk. (There are two windows in the room, each almost five-feet tall.) The photo was taken through the glass and the screen, neither of which has been cleaned since July!
That reminds me...I have some windows that need a good clean. I really like Beth's work space. There's plenty of surface area to spread projects out on, and I always have to have a room with a view. This blogging space certainly has a view. Thanks so much for sharing your space with us, Beth!
I also want to thank everyone for stopping by Scene of the Blog. It's such a fun feature, and I'm getting to know so many great people. Perhaps I watch too much HGTV, but I also feel like I'm always first to see The Reveal!
Speaking of reveals, want to know next week's featured blogger? Of course you do! Hold on to your hats, folks, you'll be able to see where Trish puts together her fantastic blog, Hey Lady! Whatcha Readin'?
Thanks so much for featuring me, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteFrom out my window today, I can see the buds on the maple tree (the branches in the foreground); and I am happy to say that the snow has disappeared!
I'm stopping by after reading Beth's blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your "Scene of the Blog" and it's so good to get to know fellow bookbloggers through these fun ideas!
I'm stopping by because of my blogging buddy Beth too! How cool is this? I am always fascinated by the offices where all of our entertainment comes from, although I'm not sure how Beth gets any work down with that view. Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a window scene like that near my blogging station.
ReplyDeleteI've come via Beth's blog too...This is such a great feature. I'm looking forward to next weeks look at Trish's desk too!
ReplyDeleteGreat space, Beth!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of my office is the two huge windows. The office in the northeast corner of the house so I get lovely morning light (and I'm a morning person) and it's not too not in the summer.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to show the view out your window. I have a view too. Yesterday I was caught up in watching two illegal parkers being towed away! Today it's the snow falling against the window pane.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see Beth´s blogging space :)
ReplyDeleteIt really does make a difference, knowing where people sit when they write all their fascinating posts.
Beth does have a great work space. I wouldn't get anything done with that great view out the window.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Kathy the view is great.
ReplyDeleteCathy I am really liking this feature of your blog. Its a great way to get to know fellow bloggers. Looking forward to your next one.
Sorry meant to say Beth you have a great blogging space. Love the view from your window. It must be really nice in the spring?
ReplyDeleteMy dad has an entire side table covered in glasses for various tasks. Your set-up is much neater than his, Beth! I love the view, too. I wish I had one near my blogging space!
ReplyDeleteI have 5 or 6 pairs of glasses in my office at all times: tiny print, large print, paper, computer screen -- each type of print requires some sort of help. Plus I wear contacts! Good thing I'm the daughter of an optometrist.
ReplyDeleteGreat blogging space with a great view!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of the big windows in your blogging space! All I've got is a door (not a sliding one either!).
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these posts, Cathy!
Nice space Beth. Lots of room. I have a big window across from me too but not with as great a view though. I spend too much time daydreaming while looking out. It is awesome seeing everyone's workspace. Great job with this feature Cathy.
ReplyDeletevery tidy...tidy and a view!
ReplyDeleteCaite: well the tidiness is in honor of the photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm disappointed Beth. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of you, too. Just to see if your avatar tells the real story!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing such a great job on these!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad she mentioned that the pic is of when her desk has been at its neatest. Whew! I keep looking at mine and wondering if it will ever be tidy again. Knowing that its probably more the norm than exception helps. Thanks!
I love that you built your own desk! That is so cool. You have lots of space and what a great view. (We just cleaned our windows for the first time a year this past weekend so don't feel bad!)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you all seem to be enjoying this weekly feature as much as I am. Long may it run!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Beth's desk is so neat! I'm relieved that she straightened it up just for this occasion, lol. And I love the view fromthe window, that has to inspire good post writing (which it always is, BTW, ha, now i know why!)
ReplyDeleteThanks again to Cathy for asking me to participate. And thanks to all of you visited with us. This was so much fun.
ReplyDeleteLove the space and the view! Makes me even more jealous and wary of sharing my space with you all. No nice clean desk for me! Love being able to see where other bloggers are "talking" from when they post or Tweet! Thanks, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteA big thank you to all the commenters for making this another fun week on Scene of the Blog!
ReplyDeleteBeth - I would spend all my time looking out the window. Thanks for sharing your space with us!
ReplyDeleteBeth's blog is a favorite visiting spot for me too! I wish I had all the space she has to do my blogging/computer stuff.
ReplyDeleteFun to read about--
*smiles*
Kim
